In the late 1990’s we started making plans to take our band BeebleBrox on a tour to Germany. I intended to bring my Godin Multiac on the airplane in its hardshell case inside of a large keyboard flight case. But I also needed an electric guitar. That’s when I bought this Steinberger Spirit. I ended up taking it on the tour and it worked out fine. While the three pickups look impressive the EMG sound doesn’t appeal to me as much. It was used on some tracks on the BeebleBrox CD Dominant Domain and the first 3rd Man recording. The neck feels a little tiny and the fact that you have to buy double-ball ended strings limits your choices. But overall this is a very usable guitar.
